Cannabash – The Collective 360

2 weeks ago Denver hosted the first Cannabash event, a celebration of cannabis & comedy – the night was filled with love, laughter… and tacos… so many tacos.

Maybe there was something in the air, but even after braving a cold Colorado winter night the crowd gathered inside City Hall Amphitheater was all smiles.

Before the main event featuring Yogi Bear’s TJ Miller, an industry mixer (sponsored by legendary Denver dispensary Good Chemistry) introduced cannabis enthusiasts to new products, connected them with the brands they already love and helped set the tone for a magical evening.

Excited guests played with boas, snapped red carpet style photos and made new friends  while waiting in line for the taco buffet.

DJ Mu$a provided the perfect vibe as guests moved from the mixer to the show where VIP ticket holders were treated to a surprise gift bag from Anonymous bags, stuffed with treats from Disposabowls, Cannabash co-host Doctors Orders, and – of course – Cannabase.

The bottle service started as opening acts took the stage for 45 mins of hilarity before Denver’s own T.J. Miller, star of HBO’s Silicon Valley, stepped on stage to show his hometown some love.

At first the crowed played a little hard to get – giving more attention to the opening acts then the headliner, but Mr. Miller soon won them back with local in-jokes  (“720 – what, are you from Golden?”) and the rest of the night went off without a hitch.

Joints were sparked, a bong randomly appeared (then disappeared) on stage, hecklers were called out (“I see… you only yell things out at culturally inappropriate times”) and eventually Denver welcomed back its prodigal son.

After the show a very red eyed T.J. (I’m sure it was just allergies.. oh, wait, no.. he was high, like super high) joined Cannabase giveaway winner John Wagner (Cannabase Connects username: sirwagnerthesecond) for a meet & greet before disappearing into the night.
